About TEPP
TEPP is at the forefront of sustainable innovation, transforming the paper and pulp industry with a visionary approach to environmental responsibility and economic empowerment. Founded with the revolutionary idea to repurpose Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) from palm oil production, TEPP has redefined the raw material base for pulp production, offering a tree-free, superior, and sustainable alternative.
Our Journey
Our story began in 2014, when the initial concept of TEPP took shape, born out of a strategic partnership between Thai Eastern Group Holdings (TEGH) and Alphapulp. This collaboration leveraged combined expertise and resources to address the critical environmental impact of traditional paper production. Officially established, TEPP embarked on a path to disrupt the industry norms by introducing its innovative technology that converts EFB into high-quality sustainable pulp.
The TEPP Difference
What sets TEPP apart is its pioneering technology that adheres to the highest ESG standards, ensuring minimal environmental impact and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. By utilizing EFB, a by-product of palm oil production, TEPP not only prevents the unnecessary felling of millions of trees but also contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and promoting ESG conformity in the palm oil industry.
Our pilot plant in Chonburi, Thailand, symbolizes our commitment to sustainable production. It operates under principles that prioritize energy efficiency, reduced chemical usage, and water recycling, establishing new benchmarks for environmental stewardship in the industry.
Transforming Industries
TEPP’s technology has not gone unnoticed. Praised by German-speaking television and newspapers, TEPP has been recognized for its role in relieving forests and competing with traditional paper producers. The company’s impact extends beyond environmental benefits, offering economic advantages to small farmers through ESG education and transforming palm oil waste into a valuable commodity.
Looking Ahead
With an ambitious plan to expand globally, TEPP aims to become the leading supplier of EFB pulp. This includes upgrading the Chonburi plant and establishing additional Eco Plants in Thailand and beyond. Our goal is to continuously improve our process, making it increasingly difficult for imitators and raising the barrier to entry for competitors.
Join Us
TEPP invites you to be part of our journey towards a sustainable future. Together, we can protect our planet’s forests and revolutionize the pulp and paper industry for the better.
